Monastery Cottage is my go-to place in Rye. No regrets. Staff even gave bug spray on my first stay. Perfect spot with Wi-Fi, parking, TV, and outdoor dining. Beach access and no smoking. All I need for my romantic escape.

We had an incredible stay at a beautifully decorated cottage in a central location. The unique interior design, especially in the bathroom, made us feel like we were in a movie. The cottage was spotlessly clean and well-equipped, and the private shingle garden was perfect for our dogs. The nearby wine bar didn't cause any disturbance, and the cottage's proximity to attractions was convenient. We even got a chance to meet the friendly owner in his studio.
The steep stairs with only one banister could be a challenge for those with impaired mobility.

We definitely got great value for our money at Monastery Cottage. The room was beautifully decorated, with so many thoughtful touches. The location was perfect, right in the center of town, and the staff were friendly and cute.
The hotel breakfast menu could use some improvement in terms of variety.

I loved the fact that the property had a garden and free private parking. It was so convenient to have towels provided in the holiday home, I didn't have to pack my own - what a relief! And they even have a railway station just 45 km away, in case I fancy a spontaneous trip!
Oh, and I just adored the fact that there was an airport nearby. Who doesn't love the constant sound of planes flying overhead?
